Spotted a new Mustang test mule today. I cannot wait until they are available to test drive in Europe. Its honestly smaller then I initially thought. I guess thats a good thing. I know my father won't be disappointed, he has his name down on the waiting list back home.

My initial reaction when I saw this was to recoil in fear but honestly it's growing on me.

That's not a GT, that's an Ecoboost or V6 mule.

It looks so small and pretty. Why is it still so heavy?
I would love to own one of these and just strip it. Get rid of everything, including the window motors. Bring it down to around 3200 lbs or less. It would pretty much be the perfect new car, then, in my opinion.

I'm liking the front but imo, the rear is... weird.

You weren't kidding. Around 3500 pounds of sports car. So I repeat you: why is it so heavy? My Buick (I'm sounding like a stuck record) is 3567 pounds. Same ballpark. Wat.

That black space needs a logo or something. It looks really barren.

FREAKING SICK STANCE!

Yeah, what the Mustang lost in aluminum panels, it gained right back in IRS (though, IRS improves handling despite the added weight usually) and lots of government-mandated safety features.
If there were no regulations, Ford has the technology to sell a 3000lb mustang with IRS.

And now I'm off to lobby to decrease government power because think of the lightweight cars!

That looks like a deep impact blue 5oth anniversary package Ecoboost. No glass louvers, performance pack splitter or 5.0 badge. Surprised the grill is still painted black though, thought they removed that already. Nice find!

why is this area SO blocky? This view of the rear end does the car no favors.

Now that you mention it I do think it was a Ecoboost.
One thing I was really surprised by was the badly spray painted wheels

I was on the Fence for the last while. While the idea of the Mustang being officially launched in Europe is exciting, I felt it was a bit too Euro.
But in person it is really beautiful. It has bulges in all the right places.
That doesn't sound right..

No, that sounds very right

Damn that IRS. At least in person it doesn't look that heavy.
Weight aside it will still handle better and feel better then my families 06 GT.

It has a faded hood. Rat style bro.

Ford initially did this when first building the prototypes to save the surprise for the NY reveal of the 50th anniversary edition. The 15's were revealed but not the 50th limited edition or package. This one is missing a few things, like the faux gas cap and chrome trim around the tails
